Description: Wood betony is a perennial herbaceous plant that propagates through short rhizomes, expanding from clustered clumps. It typically develops a compact basal rosette, remaining low to the ground. The leaves, which are lanceolate to oblong in shape, exhibit a semi-evergreen quality, often displaying a reddish hue in the spring or when exposed to ample sunlight. While they can reach up to 20 cm in length, they generally maintain a shorter stature.
