Description: Elecampane Root C/S is prepared from the mature roots of Inula helenium, a perennial herb native to Europe and western Asia. The plant develops thick, branching roots with a fibrous internal structure, which are harvested at full maturity to ensure consistent botanical quality, size, and colour before processing.
After harvesting, the roots are carefully cleaned to remove soil, fine rootlets, and surface debris. They are then sliced into sections and dried using controlled low-temperature air-drying methods to reduce moisture while preserving the natural pale yellow to tan colour and fibrous texture of the root material.
The dried root slices are cut and sifted into uniform pieces. The finished elecampane root C/S consists of firm, aromatic fragments that maintain the natural structure of the plant, providing a visually consistent and stable ingredient suitable for blending, storage, and various botanical applications.
Uses: Elecampane Root C/S is used in tea-style infusions, herbal beverage blends, botanical craft projects, decorative herb displays, and educational herb kits. It is also suitable for cosmetic formulations, natural dye work, and creative projects where dried root material is valued for its texture, colour, and botanical presentation.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
