Botanical Name: Curcuma Longa
Origin: India
Description: These are portions of whole dried turmeric root, displaying a vibrant yellow/orange hue and retaining the distinct flavor of turmeric. The taste is slightly bitter and earthy, but cooking diminishes this bitterness. Turmeric finds widespread use in various culinary applications such as soups, stews, stir-fries, curries, smoothies, salads, roasted vegetables, veggie burgers, baked goods, turmeric lattes, and beyond. Additionally, you can create a straightforward ginger turmeric tea by steeping a small slice of fresh turmeric and fresh ginger in boiling water.
Storage: Put it in a freezer bag and squeeze out any air before sealing.
