Description: Senna Leaves C/S are harvested from the mature leaves of Senna alexandrina Mill., a small, shrubby plant native to the arid regions of Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula. The plant grows 60–120 centimetres in height and produces slender, green stems with paired, lance-shaped leaflets that are smooth and slightly glossy. Small yellow flowers bloom along the upper branches during the growing season, followed by narrow, elongated seed pods.
