Description: Senega snakeroot (Polygala senega L., Polygalaceae) is a perennial herb characterized by numerous unbranched stems that reach a height of approximately 30 cm, all stemming from a single base. The leaves are lance-shaped and compact, while the flowers display a greenish-white hue and are arranged in spike-like clusters at the ends of the stems.
