Botanical Name: Prunus persica
Origin: China
Description: Peach tree leaves possess an elongated shape, appearing more oval due to their length being greater than their width. Typically flat, these leaves measure approximately 5 to 10 centimeters in width and 10 to 20 centimeters in length on average, showcasing straight veins (Mounzer 2008). They are organized in an alternating pattern along the stems of the tree. In addition to the nutritional and pharmacological benefits offered by the fruits, peach leaves have a traditional use as anthelminthic (anti-worm), laxative, and sedative agents.
Storage: Strain and store in a cool dark place.
