Description: Marigold from the Tagetes group is a fast-growing seasonal flowering plant widely cultivated in warm and temperate regions around the world. The plant typically grows 30–90 cm tall with upright branching stems, finely divided green leaves, and large round flower heads in shades of yellow, orange, and deep gold. Flowers bloom continuously through the growing season and are harvested when fully mature to capture their strong colour, layered petal structure, and natural botanical character.
The petals are thin, slightly ruffled, and naturally aromatic with a rich floral scent. After drying, the petals retain their intense colour and lightweight texture, making them suitable for milling into a fine powder while maintaining their identifiable plant appearance and consistency for blending applications.
After harvesting, the petals are separated from the flower heads and cleaned to remove stems and debris. They are then dried under controlled low-temperature conditions to preserve colour and texture. Once fully dried, the petals are finely milled and sieved to remove coarse fragments, resulting in a clean, free-flowing powder suitable for storage and blending.
Uses: Marigold Powder is used in tea-style infusions, herbal and botanical blends, culinary recipes, natural colouring projects, craft work, cosmetic formulations, decorative displays, potpourri-style products, and educational herb collections. Its fine texture allows it to blend evenly into dry mixes, infused preparations, and creative applications where vibrant colour and botanical identity are desired.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
