Description: Lovage is a perennial herb native to the Mediterranean region, typically growing 1–2 metres tall with hollow, ribbed stems and compound green leaves. The plant produces small yellow-green flowers in umbrella-shaped clusters during the summer months. The aerial parts are harvested when fully developed to preserve their natural colour, structure, and botanical character.
The leaves and tender stems are slightly firm with a textured surface. Once dried, they retain a deep green hue and identifiable leaf and stem fragments. The cut and sifted herb provides uniform pieces that reflect the natural appearance of the plant, making it suitable for blending, storage, and a variety of applications.
After harvesting, the aerial parts are cleaned to remove soil, debris, and damaged material. They are dried using controlled low-temperature methods to maintain colour, texture, and natural characteristics. Once fully dried, the plant material is cut and sifted to remove fines and broken fragments, resulting in a clean, free-flowing botanical ingredient.
Uses: Lovage C/S is used in tea-style infusions, herbal and botanical blends, culinary recipes, seasoning mixes, craft projects, cosmetic formulations, decorative displays, and educational herb collections. Its uniform cut pieces and natural texture make it ideal for blending into mixtures, infused preparations, and creative applications where botanical authenticity is desired.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container.
