Description: Lemon Verbena is a perennial shrub native to South America, commonly growing 1–2 metres tall with slender, woody stems and narrow, lance-shaped green leaves. The plant produces small, delicate white or pale purple flowers during summer, and the aerial parts are harvested at peak growth to preserve natural colour, leaf texture, and aromatic character.
The leaves are smooth, pointed, and aromatic, giving off a fresh lemon scent when crushed. Once dried, the leaves and tender stems retain their greenish colour and identifiable shape. The cut and sifted herb maintains a uniform appearance with visible leaf and stem fragments, making it suitable for blending, storage, and a variety of botanical applications.
After harvesting, the aerial parts are cleaned to remove soil, debris, and damaged material. They are then dried using controlled low-temperature methods to preserve colour, texture, and aroma. Once fully dried, the herb is cut and sifted to remove fines and broken pieces, resulting in a clean, free-flowing ingredient ready for multiple uses.
Uses: Lemon Verbena C/S is used in tea-style infusions, herbal and botanical blends, culinary recipes, craft projects, cosmetic formulations, decorative displays, and educational herb collections. Its aromatic leaves and uniform cut pieces make it ideal for blending into herbal mixtures, infused preparations, and creative applications where natural fragrance and botanical authenticity are desired.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
