Description: Lemon is a small evergreen tree native to South Asia and widely cultivated in subtropical and tropical regions. The tree typically grows 3–6 metres tall with glossy green leaves and produces fragrant white flowers throughout the year in suitable climates. The fruit develops over several months, with the peel containing the highest concentration of essential oils.
The outer rind of the fruit is bright yellow when fully mature and contains oil-rich glands. The peel is harvested at optimal ripeness to ensure maximum aromatic content and natural colour. Once harvested, the peel maintains its characteristic citrus fragrance and oil-bearing structure, making it ideal for essential oil extraction.
Lemon oil is obtained through cold-press extraction or steam distillation of the fruit peel, yielding a clear to pale yellow oil with a fresh, zesty aroma. The oil is filtered to remove any solid residues, producing a concentrated botanical ingredient suitable for multiple applications.
Uses: Lemon Oil is used in cosmetic formulations, aromatherapy diffusers, personal care products, craft projects, fragrance blends, and educational botanical collections. Its fresh citrus aroma makes it suitable for blending into perfumes, scented oils, soaps, and creative applications where natural lemon fragrance is desired.
Storage:Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container.
