Description: Lavender is a perennial shrub native to the Mediterranean region, typically growing 30–60 cm tall with woody stems and narrow, grey-green leaves. The plant produces dense spikes of fragrant purple flowers during summer, which are harvested when fully mature to preserve natural colour, structure, and floral character.
The flowers are collected carefully to retain their shape, petals, and aromatic properties. Once harvested, they maintain their vibrant colour and floral structure, providing ideal material for essential oil extraction. The plant’s upright, bushy growth and clustered flower spikes allow for efficient harvesting and preservation of aromatic compounds.
Lavender oil is obtained through steam distillation of the flowers, yielding a clear to pale yellow oil with a characteristic floral aroma. The oil is filtered to remove any plant residues, resulting in a pure, concentrated botanical ingredient suitable for blending, cosmetic formulations, and aromatic applications.
Uses: Lavender Oil is used in cosmetic formulations, aromatherapy diffusers, personal care products, craft projects, fragrance blends, and educational botanical collections. Its floral aroma makes it suitable for blending into perfumes, scented oils, soaps, and creative applications where the natural fragrance of lavender is desired.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
