Part Used: Dried root of Pueraria lobata
Description: Kudzu is a perennial climbing vine native to East Asia, commonly grown in temperate and subtropical regions. The plant produces long, woody stems and broad trifoliate leaves, with large, tuberous roots that are harvested when fully mature to preserve their natural colour, density, and structural integrity.
The roots are firm, cylindrical, and fibrous, with a light beige to brown outer surface. Once dried, they retain their natural texture and are suitable for milling into a fine, uniform powder. The powder maintains the identifiable characteristics of the plant while offering a convenient form for blending, culinary use, and other applications.
After harvesting, the roots are cleaned to remove soil and debris, then dried using controlled low-temperature methods to preserve colour and texture. Once fully dried, the roots are milled into a fine powder and sieved to remove coarse fragments, resulting in a clean, free-flowing ingredient suitable for blending, storage, and multiple applications.
Uses: Kudzu Root Powder is used in tea-style infusions, herbal and botanical blends, culinary preparations, natural colouring projects, craft work, cosmetic formulations, decorative displays, and educational herb collections. Its fine texture allows it to mix evenly into dry blends and preparations where plant-based botanical material is desired.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
