Description: Kudzu is a perennial climbing vine native to East Asia, commonly growing in temperate and subtropical regions. The plant produces long, woody stems that can reach 10–20 metres in length, with broad, trifoliate leaves. It develops extensive root systems that are thick and tuberous. The roots are harvested when fully mature to preserve their natural colour, density, and structural integrity.
The harvested roots are firm, cylindrical, and fibrous, with a light beige to brown outer surface. Once cleaned and dried, the roots retain their natural texture and are suitable for cutting and sifting into uniform pieces. The resulting cut and sifted root maintains identifiable characteristics that make it ideal for blending and storage.
After harvesting, the roots are cleaned to remove soil and extraneous material, then dried using controlled low-temperature methods to preserve colour, texture, and structural integrity. Once fully dried, the roots are cut and sifted into consistent pieces, with fines and broken fragments removed, resulting in a clean, free-flowing botanical ingredient suitable for multiple applications.
Uses: Kudzu Root C/S is used in tea-style infusions, herbal and botanical blends, culinary preparations, craft projects, cosmetic formulations, decorative displays, and educational herb collections. Its firm, fibrous root pieces are suitable for blending, infusion, and creative applications where visible root material is desired.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
