Description: Gymnema is a perennial woody climbing plant native to tropical regions of India, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. It grows as a vine with slender stems that climb over shrubs and trees, producing opposite, oval-shaped leaves with a smooth surface and prominent veins. The plant bears small yellowish flowers during the warmer months, and the leaves are harvested once fully mature, when their size, colour, and structure are well developed.
The harvested leaves are carefully cleaned to remove stems, soil, and foreign material, then dried under controlled low-temperature conditions to preserve their natural green to olive colour and leaf integrity. Once dried, the leaves are cut and sifted into uniform pieces that retain recognizable leaf fragments and a light, leafy texture. This cut form allows for consistent appearance and ease of blending with other botanicals.
After processing, the cut leaves are sorted to remove excess fines and dust, resulting in a clean, free-flowing botanical ingredient. The final product maintains uniform size and quality, making it suitable for storage, handling, and use in a variety of dry applications where visible leaf material is preferred.
Uses: Gymnema Leaves C/S are used in tea-style blends, herbal and botanical mixtures, culinary flavouring projects, cosmetic formulations, soaps, scrubs, incense blends, craft projects, and educational herb collections. The cut leaves provide natural texture, colour, and visual appeal, making them suitable for mixed herbal preparations, decorative jar displays, formulation development, and applications where consistent leaf size and recognizable plant material are important.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
