Description: Fo-Ti Root Powder is produced from the mature roots of Fallopia multiflora, a perennial climbing vine native to China and cultivated across parts of East Asia. The plant grows with long twining stems and heart-shaped leaves, producing small pale flowers in late summer to autumn. Beneath the soil, it forms thick, irregularly shaped roots that are harvested at full maturity for consistent colour and botanical quality.
The vine thrives in warm, humid environments with well-drained soil and completes its main growth cycle by early autumn, which is the preferred harvest season. The roots are naturally dense and fibrous, with a dark outer surface and lighter interior, giving the powdered material its characteristic deep brown appearance once processed.
After harvesting, the roots are thoroughly washed to remove soil and fibrous residues, then sliced and dried using controlled low-temperature air-drying methods. Once fully dried, the root material is finely milled into a smooth powder with a uniform texture and rich brown colour, making it easy to blend, measure, and store for a wide range of applications.
Uses: Fo-Ti Root Powder is used in tea-style infusions, herbal beverage blends, culinary recipes, botanical craft projects, decorative herb displays, educational herb kits, and creative applications where finely ground root material is valued for its texture, colour, and natural botanical presentation.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container.
