Description: Figwort Herb C/S is prepared from the aerial parts of Scrophularia nodosa, a tall perennial plant native to Europe and parts of Asia and now naturalized in temperate regions. The plant commonly grows between 60–120 cm in height and features square, hollow stems with large, ovate, toothed leaves arranged in opposite pairs. During early to mid-summer, it produces clusters of small, greenish-brown to purplish tubular flowers, giving the plant a distinctive woodland appearance.

Figwort thrives in moist, shaded environments such as riverbanks, hedgerows, and woodland edges. The leaves have a soft, slightly coarse surface, while the stems are firm yet flexible. Flowering typically occurs from June through August, and harvesting is carried out when the plant is in full leaf and flower to capture consistent colour, texture, and structural integrity across the dried material.

After harvesting, the aerial parts are carefully cleaned to remove soil, coarse stems, and field debris. The herb is then dried using controlled low-temperature air-drying methods to preserve the natural green-brown colouring and tubular flower structure. Once dried, the material is cut and sifted into uniform pieces containing leaf fragments, slender stem sections, and small flower parts, resulting in a visually consistent botanical ingredient suitable for a wide range of applications.

Uses: Figwort Herb C/S is used in tea-style infusions, herbal beverage blends, botanical craft projects, decorative herb displays, educational herb kits, potpourri-style mixes, and creative applications where dried leafy and floral plant material is desired for texture, colour, and natural botanical presentation.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container.
