Description: Feverfew Herb C/S is prepared from the aerial parts of Tanacetum parthenium, a low-growing perennial plant native to Europe and commonly found in temperate regions worldwide. The plant typically grows 30–60 cm in height and features finely divided, bright green, feathery leaves with slightly serrated edges. During late spring to early summer, it produces small, daisy-like white flowers with yellow centres arranged in clusters. The plant is aromatic and has a soft, herbaceous texture, making it recognizable and ideal for drying and processing.
The plant thrives in sunny, well-drained locations and can tolerate a variety of soil types. Its leaves release a characteristic fresh, slightly bitter aroma when crushed, while the stems are flexible but firm. Feverfew grows actively in spring and early summer, with flowers lasting several weeks, making harvesting at peak bloom essential to capture the full texture, colour, and fragrance of the plant. The combination of leaf and flower structure gives it visual appeal and ensures uniformity in the dried product.
After harvesting, the aerial parts, including stems, leaves, and flowers, are carefully cleaned to remove soil, coarse stems, and field debris. The material is then dried using controlled low-temperature air-drying methods to reduce moisture while preserving the natural green colour of the leaves, the white and yellow tones of flowers, and the delicate plant structure. Once dried, the herb is cut and sifted into uniform pieces, containing a mix of leaf fragments, tender stems, and small flower parts. The finished product is visually appealing, aromatic, and retains the characteristic texture and structure of the fresh plant, making it versatile for various applications.
Uses: Feverfew Herb C/S is used in tea-style infusions, herbal beverage blends, culinary seasoning, botanical craft projects, decorative herb displays, and educational herb kits. It is also suitable for cosmetic formulations, natural dye work, potpourri-style mixes, and creative applications where dried leafy and floral material is desired for texture, colour, and botanical presentation.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
