French Name: Euphrasie Coupée et Tamisée
Also Known As: Euphrasia officinalis Herb, Dried Eyebright, Euphrasia Herb C/S
Part Used: Dried aerial parts of Euphrasia officinalis
Description: Eyebright Herb C/S is prepared from the aerial parts of Euphrasia officinalis, a small annual plant native to Europe and parts of Asia and now found in temperate regions. The plant develops slender branching stems with fine green leaves and small white to pale violet flowers, which are harvested during the flowering stage for optimal botanical quality.
After harvesting, the aerial parts are cleaned to remove coarse stems, soil, and field debris. The material is then dried using controlled low-temperature air-drying methods to reduce moisture while maintaining the natural green to light brown colour and delicate plant structure.
Once fully dried, the herb is cut and sifted into uniform pieces. The finished product contains a mixture of leaf, stem, and small flower fragments with consistent texture and size, providing a clean and stable botanical ingredient suitable for blending, storage, and various applications.
Uses: Eyebright Herb C/S is used in tea-style infusions, herbal beverage blends, botanical craft projects, educational herb kits, decorative herb displays, and creative applications where finely cut leafy herb material is desired for texture, colour, and botanical presentation.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
