Description: Dong Quai Root Powder is produced from the mature dried roots of Angelica sinensis, a perennial plant native to high-altitude regions of China and nearby areas. The plant develops thick, branching roots that are harvested at full maturity to ensure consistent density, colour, and botanical quality before processing.
After harvesting, the roots are thoroughly cleaned to remove soil, fine rootlets, and debris. They are then sliced and dried using controlled air-drying or low-temperature methods to reduce moisture while preserving the natural tan to light brown colour and fibrous internal structure of the root material.
Once fully dried, the roots are finely milled into a smooth, uniform powder. The finished dong quai root powder is light to medium brown in colour, free-flowing, and finely textured, making it easy to blend and measure while retaining the natural characteristics of the roots.
