Description: Dill Seed Whole is obtained from the fully matured seeds of Anethum graveolens, an annual aromatic plant native to the Mediterranean region and western Asia and now cultivated worldwide. The plant produces flat, oval-shaped seeds with fine ridges and a light brown to tan colour, which are harvested once the seed heads have fully developed and dried on the plant.

After harvesting, the seed heads are gently threshed to separate the seeds from the stems and umbels. The seeds are then cleaned to remove chaff, dust, and field debris, followed by controlled drying to ensure stable moisture content while preserving their natural colour and shape.

The finished whole dill seeds are uniform in size with a dry, smooth surface and a consistent light brown appearance. Their intact form makes them easy to measure, blend, and visually identify, providing a stable botanical ingredient suitable for culinary use and further processing.

Uses: Dill Seed Whole is widely used in culinary spice blends, pickling mixes, bread recipes, and seasoning preparations. It is suitable for use in soups, sauces, vegetable dishes, marinades, and savoury baking, and is also used in educational herb kits, botanical craft projects, and spice displays where whole seeds are preferred for their appearance and texture.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container.
