Description: Culver’s Root C/S is prepared from the mature roots and rhizomes of Veronicastrum virginicum, a tall perennial plant native to eastern regions of North America. The plant develops long, upright stems with lance-shaped leaves and dense flower spikes. The underground portions are harvested when fully developed to ensure consistent size, colour, and botanical integrity.
After harvesting, the roots and rhizomes are thoroughly cleaned to remove soil, fine rootlets, and natural debris. They are then dried using controlled air-drying or low-temperature methods to reduce moisture while maintaining the natural light brown to tan colour and fibrous internal structure. Once dried, the material is cut and sifted into uniform pieces for easy handling and blending.
The finished Culver’s Root C/S consists of firm, fibrous root pieces with a light to medium brown exterior and visible internal texture. The uniform particle size ensures a clean, free-flowing botanical ingredient that retains the natural structure of the plant while offering consistency for storage and formulation.
Uses: Culver’s Root C/S is used in botanical craft projects, educational herb kits, decorative displays, and potpourri-style blends. It is also suitable for cosmetic formulations, natural dye work, and creative projects where dried root material is required for texture, colour, and botanical presentation.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in a well-sealed container.
