Description: Comfrey root is long, thick and often twisted. It has a brown exterior and a white interior. Comfrey root has a mucilaginous texture and a slightly sweet taste.
Uses: Comfrey root is used in traditional medicine to support bone and joint health. The roots contain allantoin, a compound that is believed to promote cell growth and repair. Comfrey root is also used to support skin health and is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties that may help to reduce redness and irritation.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
