Botanical Name: Lycopodium Clavatum
Country of Origin: USA
Description: This spore-bearing vascular plant typically grows in a prostrate manner along the ground, with stems reaching up to 1 meter in length. These stems are highly branched and densely covered with small leaves arranged in a spiral pattern. The leaves measure 3-5 mm in length and 0.7-1 mm in width, tapering to a fine hair-like white tip. The branches that bear the spore cones become upright, extending 5-15 cm above the ground, and are adorned with fewer leaves compared to the horizontal branches. The spore cones themselves exhibit a yellow-green hue, measuring 2-3 cm in length and 5 mm in width. The horizontal stems generate roots at regular intervals along their length, allowing the stem to continuously extend along the ground. While the appearance of these stems may superficially resemble small seedlings of coniferous trees, it's important to note that they are not related to this plant family.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in a well-sealed container.
