Description: Chervil Herb C/S is made from the dried leaves of Anthriscus cerefolium, an annual herb native to Europe and commonly cultivated in temperate regions. The plant grows approximately 30–60 cm in height and has slender stems with soft, finely divided green leaves. Harvesting takes place during the leafy growth stage, prior to flowering, when the foliage is fully developed for use as a dried herb.
The cut and sifted material consists of small leaf pieces with occasional fine stem content. The dried leaves display a light to medium green colour and a uniform, leafy texture. The cut and sifted format allows for consistent particle size while maintaining the natural appearance of the dried plant material, making it suitable for blended applications.
After harvesting, the leaves are cleaned to remove field debris and dried using controlled air or low-temperature drying methods. Once fully dried, the material is cut and sifted to achieve a consistent size and to reduce excess stems and fine powder. The finished product is a clean, dry botanical ingredient with stable characteristics.
Uses: Chervil Herb C/S is used as a culinary herb in soups, sauces, egg dishes, vegetable recipes, and dry seasoning blends. The cut and sifted form allows for easy mixing into spice blends and dry formulations. It is also used in botanical craft projects, educational kits, and non-food applications where dried green leaf material is required for visual or functional purposes.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
