Description: Cedarwood Essential Oil is obtained from the wood of Cedrus deodara, a large evergreen conifer native to the Himalayan regions of India, Nepal, and surrounding areas. The tree is known for its tall growth, often reaching 40–50 meters in height, and for its dense, aromatic heartwood. The wood develops a rich, warm scent and natural durability, making it well suited for essential oil extraction. The oil appears clear to pale yellow and carries a characteristic woody aroma with soft balsamic undertones.

The essential oil reflects the natural aromatic profile of Himalayan cedarwood, with a smooth consistency that blends easily into formulations. Its stable nature and distinct fragrance make it a widely used aromatic oil in fragrance-based and craft-focused applications. The oil maintains its natural colour and scent profile without alteration.

Mature cedarwood is harvested and cut into smaller chips to increase surface area prior to distillation. The wood is then subjected to steam distillation, a process that releases the aromatic compounds from the plant material using pressurized steam. The resulting vapours are condensed and separated to yield the essential oil. After distillation, the oil is filtered and allowed to settle, ensuring clarity and consistency while preserving the natural aromatic characteristics of Cedrus deodara.

Uses: Cedarwood Essential Oil is used in perfumery, candle making, incense production, soap and cosmetic formulation, and natural fragrance blends. It is also incorporated into diffuser blends, massage oil bases, and aromatic craft projects where a warm, woody scent profile is desired. Its versatility and distinctive aroma make it suitable for creative, cosmetic, and fragrance focused applications.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
