Part Used: Dried bark of Cedrus deodara, cut and sifted
Description: Cedar Tree Bark C/S is produced from the dried bark of Cedrus deodara, a large evergreen conifer native to the Himalayan regions of India, Nepal, and surrounding areas. The tree is known for its tall stature, often reaching 40–50 meters in height, with a broad trunk and spreading branches. Its bark is thick and fibrous, naturally developing into layered, rough strips with greyish brown to reddish-brown tones. Once dried, the bark retains a coarse, woody texture and visible fibrous strands characteristic of Himalayan cedar.
In cut and sifted form, the bark is processed into small, irregular fragments that preserve the natural structure and appearance of the original bark. The material shows natural variation in colour and texture, making it suitable for applications that benefit from authentic, recognizable tree bark pieces. The cut size allows for easier handling while maintaining the visual identity of cedar bark.
Mature bark is collected from established trees, cleaned to remove surface soil and debris, and dried under controlled conditions to reduce moisture while maintaining structural integrity. After drying, the bark is mechanically cut into smaller sections and sifted to achieve a balanced, consistent grade with minimal fines. The resulting material reflects the natural durability and fibrous nature of Cedrus deodara bark.
Uses: Cedar Tree Bark C/S is used in botanical craft projects, decorative jar arrangements, natural display work, resin art, incense-style blends, and educational herb kits. Its fibrous structure, woody appearance, and natural earth-toned colours make it well suited for creative projects that require visible tree bark material with a rustic, forest-inspired character.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
