Botanical Name: Erythroxylum Catuaba

Country of Orgin: Brazil

English Name: Catuaba Bark

Also Known As: Catuaba Bark Cut & Sifted, Catuaba Bark C/S, Dried Catuaba Bark, Erythroxylum catuaba Bark, Catuaba Inner Bark C/S

Part Used: Dried bark of Erythroxylum catuaba, cut and sifted

Description: Catuaba Bark C/S is produced from the dried bark of Erythroxylum catuaba, a small tree native to tropical regions of Brazil. The tree typically grows in warm forested areas and develops a slender trunk with a fibrous inner bark. The harvested bark displays natural tan to reddish brown tones and a firm, woody texture that remains visible after drying and processing.

The bark is processed into a cut and sifted form that yields small, irregular pieces with a coarse texture. This format preserves the bark’s natural structure while making it easier to handle and incorporate into blends, displays, and craft-focused applications that benefit from visible botanical fragments.

Mature bark is collected from established trees, cleaned to remove surface debris, and dried under controlled conditions to reduce moisture while maintaining colour and structural integrity. After drying, the bark is mechanically cut into smaller pieces and sifted to remove excess fines, resulting in a consistent grade with uniform texture and appearance.

Uses: Catuaba Bark C/S is used in botanical craft projects, decorative jar arrangements, resin art, incense-style blends, natural displays, and educational herb kits. Its woody texture and natural colour make it suitable for creative applications where intact bark pieces and recognizable plant material are desired.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
