Description: The leaves of the trailing blackberry plant are deciduous, arranged alternately along the stem, and consist of three leaflets. These leaflets typically measure between 3-7 cm in length, with the terminal leaflet being divided into three lobes. The edges of the leaflets are characterized by sharp, tooth-like protrusions, and both the stems and veins bear prickly thorns. While stipules (small leaf-like structures at the base of a leaf stalk) can vary in appearance, they are generally slender or attached to the leaf stalks in some manner.
