Description: Black Seed Whole is obtained from the mature seeds of Nigella sativa, an annual flowering plant native to South Asia and the Middle East. The seed capsules are harvested when fully dry, and the seeds are separated and cleaned to remove natural field residue. The dried seeds are kept in their natural whole form, preserving their characteristic shape, colour, and aroma.
Nigella sativa produces small, angular seeds with a deep black exterior and a naturally earthy scent. The whole form maintains the seed’s firm texture and distinctive appearance, making it suitable for culinary use, visual spice displays, and educational kits focused on whole herbs and spices.
After harvest, the seeds are sorted, cleaned, air-dried or warm-air dried to reduce moisture, and then graded to ensure uniformity. No additives, fillers, or processing agents are used, resulting in a pure botanical ingredient composed solely of whole black cumin seeds.
Uses: Black Seed Whole is used in culinary seasoning blends, pickling mixtures, baked goods, artisanal spice blends, decorative spice jars, and educational spice collections. Its natural shape, deep colour, and aromatic qualities make it ideal for both flavour-focused and visual applications where intact seeds are preferred.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
