Botanical Name: Heterotheca inuloides

Country of Origin: Mexico

Also Known As: Arnica Montana Flowers, Mountain Arnica, Arnica Blossoms

Part Used: Whole dried flower heads of Arnica montana

Description: Arnica Flower Whole is produced from the dried flower heads of Arnica montana, a perennial flowering herb native to alpine and subalpine regions of Europe and cultivated in select temperate areas. The flowers are recognized for their bright yellow petals and soft, downy texture. Once dried, they retain a golden-yellow to muted amber colour along with the natural structure of the flower head, including petals, the central disc, and short stems. The whole form is valued for its distinct botanical character and visual appeal.

The production process begins with harvesting the flowers at full bloom, when their structure and colour are at their peak. The collected flowers are carefully cleaned to remove natural field debris. Drying is carried out under controlled, low-temperature conditions to preserve the delicate petals and reduce moisture without causing brittleness or discolouration. Once fully dried, the flowers are inspected, gently sorted, and packed in their whole form without milling or further alteration. This helps maintain the natural integrity and characteristic appearance of the intact blossoms.

Uses: Arnica Flower Whole is used exclusively in crafting, botanical displays, resin art, educational herb projects, and potpourri blends. Its vibrant colour and recognizable shape make it suitable for decorative and aesthetic applications that rely on intact flowers. The whole blossoms can be incorporated into dried floral arrangements, decorative jars, or artistic compositions where the visual presence of a golden-yellow flower is desired.

Their preserved structure and colour make them a versatile botanical ingredient for creative, craft, and display-focused uses.

Storage: a cool, dry place, away from humidity and direct sunlight.
