Botanical Name: Emblica Officinalis

Country of Origin: India

Description: Amla C/S is made from the fruit of Phyllanthus emblica, a tree widely grown across the Indian subcontinent and other tropical regions. The fruit has a firm structure and a pale green to yellowish tone when dried. Once processed, it forms small, irregular cut pieces that reflect the natural fibrous texture of the dried fruit.

The production process begins with harvesting mature fruit, which is washed and sliced to remove the central seed. The fruit pieces are then dried under controlled conditions until they reach a stable, low-moisture state. Drying preserves the natural appearance and structure of the material. After dehydration, the dried pieces are cut and sifted to create uniform particle sizes that are suitable for culinary and craft applications.

Amla C/S is used in culinary preparations where dried fruit pieces are incorporated for flavour and texture. It can be added to spice blends, chutney bases, herbal teas, or other recipes that call for dried fruity components. In crafting and educational projects, the cut pieces may be used in botanical displays, natural material blends, or art concepts that highlight plant-derived textures.

Its stable dried form and characteristic fruit structure make it suitable for a variety of creative, culinary-adjacent, and botanical applications that rely on the visual and structural qualities of dried fruit pieces.

Storage: In a cool, dry space, sealed against the elements as much as possible.
