Description: Alkanet Root C/S is made from the dried roots of Alkanna tinctoria, a perennial plant native to the Mediterranean region and parts of Western Asia. The roots of this species are naturally dark reddish-brown and have long been recognized for the stable plant pigments they contain. When cut into small pieces, the material displays the characteristic colour and texture of dried, fibrous root.
The production process begins with harvesting mature roots from the plant, which are then cleaned to remove soil and natural debris.
