Description: Acacia Catechu is commonly known as catechu or catch, an extract of acacia trees used variously as a food additive, astringent, tannin, and dye. It belongs to the family of Fabaceae. The catch powder is prepared from steeping the wood of the Acacia catechu tree in hot water until a syrupy liquid emerges. This is dried and then ground into powder. Acacia catechu is used in variety of tablets, capsule and syrup formulations.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container.
