Description: Rhubarb Root Powder is produced from the mature roots of Rheum rhabarbarum, a perennial herbaceous plant in the Polygonaceae family. Native to temperate regions of Asia and widely cultivated in Europe and North America, rhubarb produces the thick, upright stalks and large palmate leaves above ground, while its roots develop dense, fibrous structures underground. Flowering occurs in late spring to summer, forming clusters of greenish-white to reddish blooms, after which the roots are harvested at full maturity.

The roots are robust, cylindrical, and slightly branched, with a firm internal structure and reddish-brown exterior. Harvesting occurs in late summer or autumn when the roots have reached full size, density, and uniformity. Only intact, fully grown roots are harvested to preserve natural fibrous texture, colour, and botanical identity before processing.

After harvesting, the roots are gently cleaned to remove soil and natural debris. They are then dried using controlled low-temperature methods to stabilise moisture and maintain the natural colour and fibrous structure. Once fully dried, the roots are finely milled into a uniform, free-flowing powder with a smooth texture and light reddish-brown to beige colour, reflecting the original characteristics of the Rhubarb root.

The finished Rhubarb Root Powder is visually consistent, lightweight, and easy to blend. Its fine texture offers precise measurement and stable storage, while preserving the natural botanical identity of Rheum rhabarbarum. The powder form allows versatility in wide range of applications where a concentrated root ingredient is desired.

Uses: Rhubarb Root Powder is used in tea-style infusions and dry botanical blends where a powdered root format is preferred for ease of mixing and consistent appearance. It is suitable for cosmetic and personal care formulations such as bath products, scrubs, and infused oils for texture, colour, and incorporation purposes. The powder is also used in craft projects, decorative botanical displays, educational collections, and manufacturing processes that require finely milled, uniform root material with preserved natural identity.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
