Botanical Name: Eucalyptus globules
Country of Origin: India
English Name: Eucalyptus Essential Oil
French Name: Huile Essentielle d’Eucalyptus
Also Known As: Eucalyptus globulus Oil, Blue Gum Oil
Part Used: Steam-distilled oil from the leaves of Eucalyptus globulus
Description: Eucalyptus Oil is obtained from the mature leaves of Eucalyptus globulus, an evergreen tree native to Australia and now cultivated in warm regions worldwide. The tree is recognized for its long, narrow, leathery leaves, which are harvested when fully developed to ensure consistent botanical quality before oil extraction.
After harvest, the leaves are cleaned to remove dust and natural debris. They are then processed through steam distillation, where water vapour passes through the plant material to release the aromatic oil compounds, which are subsequently condensed and separated from the distillation water.
The resulting essential oil is clear to pale yellow in appearance and has a light, fluid consistency. It is carefully filtered to remove residual plant particles, producing a clean, stable oil suitable for use in a wide range of formulations.
Uses: Eucalyptus Essential Oil is used in cosmetic formulations, soap and candle making, bath products, home fragrance blends, aromatics for craft projects, and educational kits. It is also suitable for use in diffusers, natural cleaning blends, and creative applications where a refined plant-derived aromatic oil is desired for fragrance and formulation purposes.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
