Description: Licorice is a perennial plant native to parts of Europe and Asia, growing up to 1–1.5 metres tall with slender stems and compound green leaves. The plant forms long underground roots that are harvested after several years of growth when they reach full size and firmness, allowing the natural colour, density, and structure of the root to be preserved.

The dried roots are woody and fibrous with a light brown exterior and pale interior. When cut, the pieces show natural grain patterns and a firm texture. This form provides clearly identifiable botanical material that maintains the appearance and character of the whole root while offering consistent sizing for blending and formulation.

After harvesting, the roots are thoroughly cleaned to remove soil and extraneous material. They are then dried using controlled low-temperature methods to preserve their natural structure. Once dried, the roots are cut and sifted into uniform pieces and screened to remove dust and fines, resulting in a clean, free-flowing botanical ingredient.

Uses: Licorice Root C/S is used in tea-style infusions, herbal and botanical blends, flavouring preparations, culinary recipes, craft projects, cosmetic formulations, decorative displays, and educational herb collections. The uniform root pieces blend evenly into mixtures and provide natural botanical character for a wide range of creative and formulation applications.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
