Description: Cinnamon Chips Ceylon are prepared from the inner bark of Cinnamomum verum, commonly referred to as Ceylon cinnamon. This evergreen tree is native to Sri Lanka and cultivated in select tropical regions where growing conditions support consistent bark quality. The inner bark is harvested from mature branches once it has developed its characteristic thin structure and smooth surface.

After harvesting, the bark is carefully cleaned and dried using controlled air-drying methods to reduce moisture while preserving its natural colour, texture, and layered structure. Once fully dried, the bark is cut into small, irregular chip-sized pieces. This processing method maintains the natural botanical character of the bark while producing evenly sized fragments suitable for a wide range of applications.

The finished chips display a light to medium brown colour with visible layered edges and a firm, woody texture. The cut format provides increased surface area while retaining the natural appearance of the bark.
