English Name: Black Tea Bags

French name: Thé noir

Hindi name: Kaali chai

Also known as: Camellia sinensis Black Tea, CTC Black Tea, Orthodox Black Tea, Classic Black Tea

Description: Black Tea, a loose-leaf tea, is made from the fully oxidized leaves of Camellia sinensis, traditionally grown in regions such as India, Sri Lanka, and China. This tea contains only one ingredient: black tea leaves. The tea has no blends, no added flavors, and no additional components, just carefully processed leaves prepared for a rich and consistent infusion.

Picture dark, glossy tea leaves resting naturally in a jar, with curled or twisted shapes that hint at their full-bodied character. When hot water is poured over them, a robust, malty aroma rises with subtle earthy and sweet undertones. The brewed tea produces a deep amber to reddish-brown color with a smooth, bold flavor that feels warm, comforting, and uncomplicated. Each step, from steeping to sipping, unfolds like a rich, cinematic reel.

The leaves are carefully harvested, withered, rolled, fully oxidized, and gently dried to preserve their natural flavor and aroma. This careful processing allows for a consistent infusion while making the tea easy to measure, steep, and strain.

Uses: Brewing Black Tea is simple and easy. Add one teaspoon of leaves to a cup of hot water at approximately 90–95°C (194–203°F) and steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain it. For a lighter taste, reduce steeping time, and for a stronger infusion, steep slightly longer. To make iced tea, brew as usual, allow the infusion to cool, and pour over ice for a refreshing, smooth tea. Subtle additions such as milk, a slice of lemon, or a touch of sweetener can be added to enhance flavor while keeping the infusion balanced.

Every cup feels consistent, approachable, and easy to brew, creating confidence from the first scoop to the final pour. This tea fits naturally into all moments of life. From the rich, malty aroma to the deep amber finish, Black Tea offers a bold, uncomplicated experience that feels visually and sensorially satisfying, like watching a slow, elegant reel unfold frame by frame.

Storage: In a cool, dry space, sealed against the elements as much as possible.
