Description: Woodruff C/S is prepared from the aerial parts of Asperula odorata, a low-growing perennial herb native to Europe and western Asia and commonly found in shaded woodland environments. The plant typically grows between 15 and 30 centimetres tall, forming slender, upright stems with whorls of narrow, lance-shaped green leaves arranged evenly around each node. In late spring, small star-shaped white flowers appear at the tips of the stems, creating delicate clusters above the foliage. Harvesting is carried out when the plant is fully developed to ensure consistent colour, structure, and botanical quality.

After harvesting, the herb is carefully cleaned to remove natural debris. Drying is performed using controlled air or low-temperature methods to preserve the natural green tones and fine plant structure. Once dried, the material is cut and sifted into uniform fragments, producing lightweight, free-flowing pieces with visible leaf sections, fine stems, and occasional flower parts.
