English name: Wintergreen Tea

French name: Thé à la Gaulthérie

Also known as: Gaultheria procumbens Tea, Checkerberry Tea, Teaberry Tea, Eastern Teaberry Tea

Description: Wintergreen Tea, a loose-leaf herbal tea, is made from the dried leaves of Gaultheria procumbens, a low-growing evergreen shrub native to North America. The tea contains only one ingredient: wintergreen leaves. It has no blends, no added flavors, and no additional components, just clearly identified leaves prepared for a clean and aromatic infusion.

The leaves are carefully collected, thoroughly cleaned, and gently dried to preserve their natural aroma, color, and texture. They are left whole or slightly broken to support even infusion, making the tea easy to measure, steep, and strain while keeping the ingredient intact. It has dark green and glossy leaves. When hot water is poured over them, a fresh, minty aroma rises with subtle sweet and earthy undertones. The brewed tea develops a light golden color with a crisp, slightly sweet, and refreshing flavor that feels clean, bright, and uncomplicated. Each step, from steeping to sipping, unfolds like a slow, sensory reel.

Uses: Brewing Wintergreen Tea is simple and easy. Add one teaspoon of leaves to one cup of hot water and steep for 5 to 10 minutes, then strain it. For a lighter flavor, steep for a shorter time. For a slightly stronger infusion, steep it longer. To make iced tea, brew as usual, allow the infusion to cool, and pour over some ice for a refreshing herbal drink. Subtle additions like a slice of lemon or a few fresh mint leaves can be added to enhance aroma while keeping the tea crisp and clean.

Every cup feels consistent, approachable, and easy to brew, creating confidence from the first scoop to the final pour. From the minty, sweet aroma to the crisp, golden finish, Wintergreen Tea offers a refreshing, uncomplicated experience that feels visually and sensorially uplifting.

Storage: In a cool, dry space, sealed against the elements as much as possible.
