Part Used: Dried fruit of Tribulus terrestris

Description: Gokshura is a low-growing annual herb that spreads along the ground with thin, trailing stems and pairs of small oval green leaflets. It thrives in warm, dry climates across Asia, Africa, southern Europe, and Australia. The plant produces bright yellow flowers followed by hard, spiny fruits that mature through late summer and early autumn. These burr-like fruits are collected once fully formed, as they are the primary part used for whole botanical material.

The dried fruits are naturally angular and covered with firm pointed spines, giving them a distinctive star-like appearance. They range in colour from pale beige to light brown and are lightweight but woody in texture. The intact form preserves the characteristic structure of the plant, making the fruits visually identifiable and suitable for blends that require whole botanical pieces.

After harvesting, the fruits are cleaned to remove soil and plant matter and then dried under controlled conditions. Once fully dried, they are sorted to remove broken material and ensure consistent size and quality, resulting in a clean, stable whole-fruit botanical ingredient.

Uses: Gokshura Whole is used in dry tea-style blends, botanical mixtures, craft projects, educational collections, decorative displays, incense blends, and formulation development. The intact fruit form is suited for applications where visible whole plant material is preferred, providing natural texture, appearance, and structure in mixed botanical preparations.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
