Part Used: Root of Eleutherococcus senticosus

Description: Siberian ginseng is a robust deciduous shrub native to northeastern Asia, typically growing 2–3 metres in height with thorny stems and palmate leaves composed of five pointed leaflets. The plant forms a thick, woody underground root system that develops over several years, producing dense roots with a pale beige to light brown interior and a firm, fibrous texture. These mature roots are the portion collected for powdered botanical material.

Once harvested, the roots are thoroughly cleaned and slowly dried to reduce moisture while maintaining their natural colour and structure. The dried roots are hard and woody, making them well suited for fine milling. When ground, the powder has a light to medium brown tone and a slightly coarse yet uniform consistency, allowing it to blend evenly into dry formulations.

Production involves cutting the dried roots into smaller sections before milling them into a fine powder. The powder is then sifted to remove oversized particles and achieve a consistent texture, ensuring a clean botanical ingredient suitable for blending, measuring, and formulation use.

Uses: Siberian Ginseng Root Powder is used in dry tea-style blends, spice and botanical mixes, culinary seasoning projects, cosmetic formulations, soaps, scrubs, and craft applications. Its fine texture allows it to disperse evenly in powdered blends, infused preparations, and dry mixtures where a uniform botanical component is desired for flavouring, colour contribution, and formulation development.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
