Part Used: Ground dried seeds of Foeniculum vulgare
Description: Fennel Seed Powder is produced from the dried seeds of Foeniculum vulgare, a perennial herb native to the Mediterranean region and now cultivated in temperate regions worldwide. The plant produces slender, feathery leaves and clusters of small yellow flowers, with seeds harvested at full maturity for uniform size, aroma, and colour before processing.
After harvesting, the seeds are cleaned to remove chaff, stems, and other debris. They are then dried using controlled air-drying methods to reduce moisture while preserving their natural greenish-brown colour, characteristic aroma, and seed integrity.
Once dried, the seeds are finely milled into a uniform powder. The finished powder is light to medium brown in colour with a smooth, free-flowing texture, making it easy to blend, measure, and store while maintaining the natural characteristics of the seeds.
Uses: Fennel Seed Powder is used in culinary recipes, spice blends, seasoning mixes, and herbal beverage formulations. It is also suitable for cosmetic formulations, botanical craft projects, educational herb kits, and creative applications where finely ground seed material is desired for aroma, colour, and texture.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
