Part Used: Dried root of Arctium lappa, cut and sifted

Description: Burdock Root C/S is produced from the dried roots of Arctium lappa, a biennial plant native to temperate regions of Europe and Asia and widely cultivated in other areas. The roots are harvested when mature, carefully cleaned to remove soil and natural debris, and dried using controlled methods to preserve their natural brown tones and dense, fibrous texture. Once dried, the roots are cut into uniform pieces and sifted to create a consistent botanical material suitable for decorative, craft, and formulation purposes.

Arctium lappa develops thick, fleshy roots beneath upright stems that can reach 1–2 meters in height. The roots have a firm, fibrous structure and a natural earthy colour. In cut and sifted form, the roots retain their dense texture and structural integrity, making them ideal for applications where identifiable plant material is preferred.

The harvested roots are washed thoroughly to remove soil and field residue, then dried under warm-air or shade-drying conditions to reduce moisture while maintaining their natural characteristics. Once dried, the roots are mechanically cut and sifted to achieve uniform sizing and texture, ensuring a clean, stable plant-based product suitable for a variety of creative applications.

Uses: Burdock Root C/S is used in botanical craft projects, decorative jar arrangements, resin art, layered herb displays, and educational herb kits. Its dense, fibrous texture and natural brown tones provide visual and structural appeal for creative applications, making it suitable for projects requiring intact root material with recognizable botanical features.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
