Description: Blessed Thistle Herb C/S is produced from the dried aerial parts of Cnicus benedictus, an annual herb native to the Mediterranean region and commonly grown in warm, dry climates. The plant grows about 30–60 cm tall and develops spiny, lobed leaves and rounded yellow flower heads. The aerial parts are harvested during active growth, cleaned to remove natural field residue, and dried to maintain their natural colour and structure. After drying, the material is cut into uniform herb pieces and sifted to create a consistent cut-and-sifted botanical ingredient.
Cnicus benedictus forms a branching growth pattern with textured foliage and spiny leaf edges. When dried, the herb retains its natural shades of green, yellow, and pale tan, along with a characteristic botanical aroma. The cut-and-sifted form provides manageable pieces suitable for blending into mixtures, visual compositions, and creative herb-based projects.
The harvested plant material is washed, dried using controlled warm-air or natural air-drying methods, and mechanically cut and sifted to achieve consistency. The final product reflects the plant’s natural structure and appearance.
Uses: Blessed Thistle Herb C/S is used in culinary herb mixtures, homemade beverage-style preparations, and flavouring blends that incorporate dried leafy botanicals. It is also suitable for decorative jar displays, potpourri-style mixtures, resin art, botanical craft projects, and educational herb kits. Its light, leafy texture and natural colour make it suitable for creative formulations and visual displays that require intact dried plant material.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
