Also Known As: Bistort Root Cut & Sifted, Snakeweed Root C/S, Polygonum bistorta Root C/S

Part Used: Dried root of Polygonum bistorta, cut and sifted

Description: Bistort Root C/S is produced from the dried roots of Polygonum bistorta, a perennial herb native to temperate regions of Europe and Asia. The roots are carefully harvested at maturity, cleaned to remove natural soil residue, and dried to preserve their natural colour and dense, fibrous texture. Once dried, the roots are cut into uniform pieces and sifted to create a consistent botanical material suitable for decorative, craft, and formulation uses.

Polygonum bistorta produces thick, fleshy roots with a firm, fibrous structure. When cut and sifted, the roots retain their natural earthy colour and dense texture. The cut-and-sifted form provides manageable pieces that incorporate easily into botanical mixtures, visual displays, and educational projects.

Fresh roots are washed, dried using controlled warm-air or low-temperature methods to reduce moisture, and mechanically cut and sifted to remove dust. No additives, fillers, or processing agents are used, resulting in a pure plant-based ingredient composed solely of dried root material.

Uses: Bistort Root C/S is used in botanical craft projects, decorative jar displays, resin art, potpourri-style preparations, and educational herb kits. Its dense, fibrous texture and uniform cut make it suitable for creative projects that require intact plant material.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container.
