English Name: Stonebreaker

Sanskrit Name: Bhumyamalaki

Also Known As: Chanca Piedra, Bhui Amla Herb, Bhui Amla Cut & Sifted, Chanca Piedra Herb C/S, Phyllanthus niruri / Phyllanthus amarus Herb

Part Used: Dried aerial parts of Phyllanthus niruri / Phyllanthus amarus, cut and sifted

Description: Bhui Amla C/S is produced from the dried aerial parts of Phyllanthus niruri or Phyllanthus amarus, two closely related tropical herbs recognized for their fine stems and small alternating leaves. The plant material is harvested during active growth, cleaned to remove natural field residue, and dried to preserve its natural green to brown tones. Once dried, the herb is cut into uniform fragments and sifted, creating a consistent botanical material suitable for various creative and formulation uses.

These Phyllanthus species grow in warm, open environments and develop slender stems lined with small leaves along delicate branches. When dried, the herb maintains its lightweight, fibrous texture and visible plant structure, making it well suited for decorative, educational, and craft-focused applications. The cut-and-sifted form provides manageable pieces that incorporate easily into botanical mixtures and visual craft projects.

Fresh aerial parts are washed, air-dried or warm-air dried to reduce moisture, and then mechanically cut and sifted to remove dust. No additives, fillers, or processing agents are used, resulting in a pure botanical material composed solely of dried herb.

Uses: Bhui Amla C/S is used in botanical craft blends, decorative jar arrangements, resin art, incense-style mixtures, potpourri-style preparations, and educational herb kits. Its fine stems, small leaf fragments, and natural earthy tones make it suitable for creative projects where plant texture and visual detail are important.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
