Description: Rhodiola Rosea Root Powder is produced from the mature roots of Rhodiola rosea, a perennial herbaceous plant in the Crassulaceae family. Native to cold and mountainous regions across Europe, Asia, and North America, the plant thrives in rocky soils, alpine meadows, and tundra environments. Above surface, Rhodiola produces fleshy green leaves and clusters of small yellow flowers during the short summer season, while its underground roots develop thick, fibrous structures that are harvested for processing.
The roots are harvested after reaching the full development, usually after several years of growth, when they exhibit dense, fibrous structure and pale yellow to light brown coloration. Collection takes place during late summer or early autumn, ensuring that the roots have accumulated maximum size and consistency. Only intact, fully matured roots are selected to preserve natural fibrous structure, uniformity, and botanical characteristics before processing.
After selecting, the roots are gently cleaned to remove soil and natural debris. They are then dried under controlled low-temperature conditions to stabilise moisture while retaining natural colour, texture, and integrity. Once fully dried, the roots are finely milled into a uniform powder that is free-flowing and smooth, maintaining the earthy aroma and fibrous characteristics of the original Rhodiola root.
The finished Rhodiola Rosea Root Powder is light to medium brown in colour, finely textured, and visually consistent. It blends easily with dry or liquid formulations and retains the natural identity of Rhodiola rosea. The powder’s consistency and lightweight form allow for precise measurement, stable storage, and versatile use in a variety of applications.
Uses: Rhodiola Rosea Root Powder is used in tea-style infusions, beverage blends, and dry culinary preparations where powdered root material is desired. It is also suitable for inclusion in cosmetic and personal care formulations, including bath products, scrubs, and infused oils for textural and visual effect. Additionally, the powder is used in educational botanical collections, craft projects, decorative displays, and manufacturing applications requiring fine, uniform dried root material.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
