Description: Lily (Lilium) is a perennial flowering plant native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, growing from underground bulbs and producing upright stems that typically reach 60–120 cm in height. The plant bears large, showy flowers with broad, gently curved petals that display smooth surfaces and natural colour variations depending on the variety. Petals are harvested when the flowers are fully open to retain their natural shape, size, and botanical appearance.
The fresh petals are soft and smooth with visible veining and a natural sheen. After drying, they become lightweight with a delicate, papery texture while maintaining their identifiable floral form and colour tone. This dried form provides a visually distinctive botanical ingredient suitable for blending and decorative use.
After harvesting, the petals are separated from the flower base and cleaned to remove pollen and extraneous material. They are dried using controlled low-temperature methods to preserve colour and texture, then gently sifted to remove broken fragments, resulting in clean, free-flowing floral pieces suitable for blending and storage.
Uses: Lily Petals are used in tea-style infusions, herbal and botanical blends, culinary preparations, natural colouring projects, craft work, cosmetic formulations, decorative floral displays, and educational herb collections. Their light texture and visual appeal make them suitable for floral mixtures, infused preparations, potpourri-style products, and creative applications where botanical character is desired.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container.
