Production: The plant grows up to three feet tall and produces small, pale pink or white flowers that give way to seeds. The seeds are harvested when they are fully ripe and then dried in the sun until they turn a light brown color.
Description: Coriander seeds have a warm, citrusy flavor and a slightly sweet, floral aroma.
Uses: They are commonly used in spice blends such as garam masala and curry powder, and are also used to flavor soups, stews, and marinades.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
